Refined, relaxed, a little romantic and a lot luxurious, The Dunstane Houses is an independent, family-run boutique hotel that offers its guests the best of the Scottish capital. Set over two heritage traditional Victorian townhouses, only minutes from Edinburgh’s Princes Street, in a mainly residential area that gives you the opportunity to experience the real spirit of Scotland.
Beautiful cozy rooms each uniquely styled to balance timeless tradition and modern comfort while they offer views over the victorian houses and gardens. I have stayed in the elegant Dunstane house suite with view of the Pentland Hills and Edinburgh’s cityscape from the roll-top copper bath in the bay window.
Characterful and charming interiors, inspired by the neoclassical design of old-town Edinburgh, makes you wanna spent all day chilling by the fireplace.
The Ba’ Bar & Lounge hosts all-day dining, as well as daily afternoon tea. It serves a great selection of ales from some of Scotland’s micro-brewers and has many malt whiskies. It also has a food menu with local, seasonal Scottish produce.
The Dunstane Houses couldn’t make me feel more like being in my own elegant home in Edinburgh and its charm made me fell in love with this beautiful boutique hotel.
