Once upon a time in a land NOT so far away, there was a magical island. In fact, just a 10 minute boat ride from Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat island, I found my paradise on earth surrounded by clear waters also known as Zaya Nurai Island.
Arriving at the island, an aura of calmness overwhelmed me and the sound of birds made me easily say “This is Heaven”. The friendly staff offered me a passion fruit welcome drink and took me to my beach villa by a golf cart.
The luxurious beach villa is designed to blend into the landscape. A private pool and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Arabian Sea made the whole concept unique and magnificent.
The 120 square meters villa features minimal and modern furniture in white and grey tones with a gold touch for an extra glam. The bed is in the center of the room, facing the pool and the sea.
The luxurious marble bathroom with Acqua di Parma amenities was a dreamy place to relax overlooking the golden beach.
The resort also offers a large infinity pool on the beach with comfortable sun beds where you can enjoy a drink, sushi or a tempting dessert. Swim in crystal clear waters with powder white soft sand and chill by the pool or try some of the water sports.
I had a delicious lunch on the terrace of Frangipani restaurant right next to the beach. There are many options for you to choose. From meat to grilled king prawns and tasty side dishes. All that fresh and unique flavours are a must try in Nurai island.
The sunset is magical in the Nurai island. You can enjoy it in the privacy of your swimming pool or at the Dusk restaurant on the island. Sunset cocktails accompanied by delicious snacks at the Dusk is definitely a great experience. At night you can have dinner in your villa or experience an Arabic night with belly dancers and traditional food by the beach.
Waking up in the morning the breathtaking view of the sea from my bed was something unforgettable. A quick dive in the pool and then breakfast which was not only delicious but also had a wide variety. After breakfast you can relax and refresh with therapeutic beauty and body treatments at the spa or try yoga on the beach.
Having all the energy I needed for the day, I visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. The biggest mosque in UAE is an amazing place and very close to Zaya Nurai.
It is not by luck that Zaya Nurai Island is called paradise. It is a stunning place where you can relax, recharge your batteries and experience something unbelievable and unique. The resort’s philosophy and goal is to make your stay unforgettable.
