The gates opened and there it was. Standing in front of me glorious and elegant. The luxury palace Shangri-La hotel Paris. As the former home of Napoleon Bonaparte’s grandnephew Prince Roland Bonaparte, I knew I was in the right place to feel like a royal in the legendary city of light. Located in the heart of Paris just a stone thrown away from Avenue Montaigne and Avenue George V, it’s the absolute place not only for sightseeing but also for shopping.
Entering the magnificent lobby with the original historic marble floors, I traveled back to a charming Parisian era. Crystal chandeliers and gold details are making the whole space even more majestic and glorious. The Shangri- La signature hospitality was clear to me from the first second and the jasmine welcome tea was the delicate touch.
The two floored suite decorated with luxury features was more than I could ask for. The suite has three floor to celling windows and a balcony with one of the most breathtaking view in Paris. I almost screamed from happiness when I opened the curtains and saw the Eiffel tower just in front of me. Still speechless by the view, I opened the champagne and had a taste of the delicious macaroons.
Couldn’t feel more like a king with such a huge bed and a marble bathroom with a mirror tv and golden details.
In the afternoon I had the chance to experience one of the most well know afternoon teas in Paris. The La Bauhinia, with plenty of natural light and elegant decor, was the place to be. Serving a 100% delicious vegan afternoon tea made it popular all over the city.
The garden at the Shangri-La is a place to chill and enjoy the sunny days in Paris.
Historic salons with the Bonaparte family era details, such as the golden bee, are making Shangri-La hotel Paris such a unique place that takes your breath away.
The night becomes even more romantic with the sparkling Eiffel tower outside your window. For a fine gastronomic experience I strongly suggest the Shang palace restaurant in the hotel which is the only Michelin-starred cantonese restaurant in France.
The next morning was the perfect morning as I had breakfast in my room, while having the company of madame Eiffel. A dive in the swimming pool with natural light and beautiful details was the absolute way to start my day in Paris.
